Hard Work Is Critical in a Cooking Career If I had to choose one value that governs my life I would choose the value of hard work. My parents raised me to believe that one will be rewarded in many ways for the effort of hard work and it is something that I apply to everything I do. Hard work is a very simple value to perform. If I build a reputation for myself to be a hard worker in the kitchen it is going to help me build positive relationships with those that I work with. The team will be able to count on me to get the job done and not try and get out of working. They will also be able to count on me to work in all aspects of the kitchen and not refuse any work simply because it is "not my job." I have experienced that type of thinking in others before and it makes the concept of teamwork more difficult to fulfill.
